Partnering with Matic, Plasma with PoS based side chains

What is Matic?

Matic Network brings massive scale to Ethereum using an adapted version of Plasma with PoS based side chains. It provides a solution for faster and extremely low-cost transactions with finality on the main chain.
The system ensures liveliness using PoS checkpoints which are pushed to the Ethereum mainchain. This enables a single Matic sidechain to theoretically achieve 2 16 transactions per block, and possibly millions of transactions on multiple chains in the future.

Why do we partner with Matic?

Decentralized Apps are making huge progress but the current blockchain ecosystem is not prepared to scale as per the demand.
The issues of slow block confirmations and high gas fees need to be solved if we want to target mass adoption by mainstream users. And most importantly, it needs awesome user experience.
Simplifying the interaction between users and the decentralized world is of crucial importance. A vision both Matic and Arkane fully share.

Rolling out support for Matic

Therefore we are more than happy to announce that in the latest upgrade, we've added support for Matic wallets and transactions to our interface. In addition, our support team has been trained to be able to help users with any issues they might have with their Matic wallet or Matic transaction.

Since Matic is a side chain, meaning users might want to switch between the Ethereum mainchain and a Matic sidechain, we allow users who already own Ethereum wallets the option to also use them on the Matic Network.

In this upgrade the Matic native token and Matic ERC20 based tokens are supported, in the next couple of weeks we will continue improving our Matic integration. So stay tuned 👍.

… anything new for developers?

As with any new feature we roll out, the UI is making use of our open APIs. So if you are interested in quickly supporting the Matic Network and don't want to be bothered with setting up infrastructure, handling the security and writing your own wallet system, then get in touch and we will give you access to all our APIs.
